i think children are valued and their views respected since most countries have ministries which are responsible for children's affairs.

Yes and No a child's idea will only be accepted depending on the level of education for example if a child is in education his idea is so much considered compared to the one not in education or school.

No some children influence others to join peer groups which is not good as it will lead to bad practices.

So why do you think they aren't represented and what could be the major cause of this?

It's because the adults undermine the ideas of the children and they think that children can not out reason them in any thing.

It’s diffcult to specify the contribution children make to society, but I believe anybody can make a difference to the world

The children can be engaged and participate in activities if the conditions are well set and favorable to promote their growth, health and development.

To some extent it is not true because we have children who are not educated but thier IQS are better than those who are educated. eg some children in the socieities can reason better than those who are educated.

Do children need to have some experience frlor views to ve valued

It shouldn't need experience, rather it is their fundamental child right.

It is fine if their serious ideas, needs and interests are heard and handled in the most appropriate manner.

If time is given to achild good ideas can be developed which at the end can be accepted by adults in society as awhole.

No because if you are young, you can't give advice to your parents

If you are young and your parent does wrong things in the community, do you also just keep quiet and support him. Definitely No. So children can also advice elders in many areas.

That's true, the contribution children can make to society is often only as good as the system in place already which has been set up.

However, children can and do make a difference and are valuable in making adults sit up and take notice.
